Andaman Marine Expedition
The Andaman Marine & Birding Trip is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the breathtaking fusion of tropical marine wonders and exotic island birdlife. Located far from the Indian mainland, the Andaman Islands boast lush rainforests, mangrove creeks, pristine beaches, and coral reefs teeming with life. This adventure is tailor-made for nature enthusiasts, divers, and birders seeking a truly unique ecosystem.
Your journey begins with a deep dive—both figuratively and literally—into Andaman’s vibrant underwater world. Experience snorkeling or scuba diving in crystal-clear waters where colorful reef fish, corals, sea turtles, and sometimes even reef sharks make appearances. The stunning marine biodiversity of Havelock, Neil, and North Bay Island is a visual treat for any nature lover.
But the Andamans are not just about the sea. They are a birder’s paradise, home to over 270 bird species, including 20+ endemics found nowhere else on Earth. You’ll explore Chidiya Tapu, Mount Harriet National Park, and Sippighat wetlands, spotting rare species like the Andaman Woodpecker, Andaman Serpent Eagle, White-headed Starling, and the Andaman Crake. Mangrove boat rides also reveal herons, kingfishers, and waders in their natural habitat.
This trip blends marine exploration, birdwatching, and cultural experiences. You’ll also get to visit Ross Island’s historic ruins, experience traditional Nicobarese crafts, and indulge in authentic island cuisine. Evenings are perfect for sunset photography at Chidiya Tapu or simply relaxing by the shore, listening to the rhythmic waves.
Whether you’re capturing an underwater clownfish or the flash of a rare kingfisher in flight, this trip offers unforgettable photographic opportunities. With expert naturalists and local guides, every moment is curated to ensure a responsible and enriching eco-tourism experience.

Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park has some 20 islands and rocks.
There are 2 major island groups in the park: the Labyrinth Islands and the Twin Islands The islands are situated 16 km (10 mi) south from Port Blair. The marine park covers 281.5 km² made up of 17 islands and the open sea creeks running through the area. There is a chance for ecotourism on the islands Jolly Buoy and Red Skin.
Most of the coral reefs in the park are fringing reefs. The type and composition of vegetation varies from island to island. Most notably there you can see a difference between the tourist islands which suffer more anthropocentric change and others which do not. There are also some islands more isolated or protected from the effects of weather in the Bay of Bengal. Tarmugli, the largest island, is covered with thick mangrove vegetation, sand covered beaches, uprooted trees and sheet rocks. Twin Islands are an important breeding ground for turtles within the park.
